Is it really that you don’t have $100 for it? Or is it that you can’t bring yourself to spend $100 on this kind of luxury purchase?
If it’s the latter, it seems that having it would decrease your happiness (otherwise you’d buy it), but not having it decreases your happiness (because you’re so frustrated at not having it).
In that case, the mere existence of the box set has made you less happy … but that was probably your point all along.
