Thanksliving!
From the Murfreesboro Daily News Journal:
Take a few moments to reflect with your children on things to be thankful for that we often take for granted. Would any of the following be found on your list?
* the ability to hug a child
* hugs from a child
* eight fingers and two thumbs that function correctly
* umbrellas
* eyes to see, ears to hear, sense of smell
* waffle irons
* washer and dryer
* hair ribbons
* running water
* electricity
* flashlights for when the lights go out
* reliable transportation
* paper clips, staplers, tape
I believe all these things would be on my list. But especially tape.

Hair ribbons! Just seeing that on a list of things to be happy about made me happy. I need to get some hair ribbons! And of course I’ve long been plotting the purchase of a waffle iron…
The waffle iron is totally worth it.
does “the ability to hug a child” mean having access to a child to hug, or a set of working arms? i’d go with either, although i especially prefer specifically to hug my own children (with my own arms).
